When preparing your speech you should make sure that you include the important points and not just chatter away about everything you know on the subject, this way the people in the audience will not lose interest in what you are saying.

It is important to find a good middle ground when it comes it the speed at which you deliver your speech, because if you end up talking too fast then people will find it hard to keep up with what you are saying.
